Happy New Year actor Sonu Sood gets police protection

Threat calls from gangsters is what the team of Happy New Year seems have fallen prey to. Earlier we had reported about the incident of firing outside film producer Ali Morani’s house. After that, Shah Rukh Khan and Boman Irani too received threats and they have been given police protection. Now the actor who faced a similar crisis is Sonu Sood.
Sonu Sood who plays a prominent role in the upcoming film Happy New Year is also said to have received threatening messages from the gangster because of which he has requested for police protection. This incident started when Morani received threatening calls and messages from gangster Ravi Pujari and later, a group of unidentified biker men fired four rounds outside his bungalow. After that, reportedly Pujari even tried to get in touch with Shah Rukh Khan through his company Red Chillies Entertainment and sent out a threatening message to the superstar asking him to stay away from Morani. It did not end at that! Later, Boman Irani too seeked the help of the police force after he too received threat calls from Pujari’s men.
In fact, now we hear that the Mumbai Police has decided to provide security to the entire cast and even to those who have received extortion calls and messages from this gangster in the past three years.
Directed by Farah Khan and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Happy New Year also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Vivian Shah among others. The film is slated to release on October 23.
