Asin Thottumkal will be seen in All Is Well with Abhishek Bachchan

Actress Asin Thottumkal, whose last Hindi movie Khiladi 786 came out in 2012, is currently shooting for her upcoming film All Is Well in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.

When asked about her visit to Shimla, she told  "Yes, early in the morning. It is for All Is Well. It's little early to talk about the film as the schedule is on right now."
The film is directed by Umesh Shukla.

Asin, who acted as Abhishek Bachchan's sister in Bol Bachchan, will again share screen space with the actor and she doesn't mind working with the same people again.

"I am happy that people whom I have worked with actually want to work with me again. I see it as a good thing. I've never had any problem with my co-stars whether it's male or female," said the Avon India brand ambassador, who has worked with actors like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan more than once.

Bigg Boss Day 51: Gautam Gulati Cries infront of Puneet and Dimpy

The contestants of season 3 of Bigg Boss have spent 50 days inside this glass walled house sans all the luxuries of the outside world. The fourth wild card contestant, Nigaar Khan, finally made her doorway into the controversial house. Within minutes of entry, the contestants got into a deep discussion with the sharing of beds. The most considering point was, the boys who used to sleep on the sofas also now want a bed for themselves. Looks like, all the boys now want to get maximum attention from the newly entered girls. Interesting isn’t it?

The contestants got their weekly luxury budget task ‘Sab Dhurander Hotel Ke Aandar’. All the housemates will have to be dressed as waiters except the three new wild card entrants. Bigg boss has placed three safes inside the bedroom which will belong to the guests.

Gautam and Praneet against got into a verbal brawl in between the task. Given the turbulent situation inside the house, Sonali raised her hands amid the task and chose not to continue with it further.  Saif Ali Khan, Ileana D'Cruz and Kalki Koechlin visited the set of "India's Raw Star" on Sunday to promote their upcoming film "Happy Ending."

"Happy Ending", which also stars Govinda, is a romantic comedy entertainer scheduled to hit the screens on 21 November. It is said that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Preity Zinta will also do cameo roles in the film.

The lead characters of the upcoming film who appeared on Star Plus' reality show looked stunning.

D'Cruz was wearing a Topshop lace bralet with Zara faux – leather pencil skirt. It was not her best appearance, but she looked pretty in metallic Jimmy Choos heels and side-swept hair.

Koechlin looked quite elegant in Shift by Nimish Shah with ankle-strap heels.

Rani Mukerji will be seen as Mumbai Mafia Queen

After her aggressive portrayal of a gutsy and ruthless police officer Rani Mukherjee will be now seen portraying ‘Haseena Appa’, Mumbai’s Mafi Queen, the younger sister of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. 

 

Filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia, who made ‘SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA’, has been keenly following Hasina Ibrahim Parkar for the movie’s rights. In an interview Apoorva Lakhia, said, "I was quite serious and had reached the final stages of negotiation with Ms Parkar for the rights to film her life-story." 

He added, "However After her sudden death in July this year the family of Hasina Appa has been persuading me to start the project but due to some legal and creative issues the movie was bit delayed. However now all issues have been settled and the movie will soon go on the floors by the end of this year." 

 

Hasina Appa is a vicious name in Mumbai Underworld. She came in prominence after Dawood fled the country and Hasina Appa took charge of all the illegal activities od Dawood in Mumbai from extortion to taking commission from builders for development and redevelopment and almost no building could be constructed from South Mumbai right up to Bandra and Kurla without her assent. She would also settle disputes between parties, and her word was final. She was in constant contact with Dawood and met him several times during her trips to Dubai and Pakistan.

 

Interestingly she stayed at Nagpada's, Gordon House building, opposite the local police station and conducted illegal activities right under the nose of police. She had a combined two flats on the first floor into a luxurious den and moved royally in posh imported vehicles. 

 

Rani, who has not done any biopic yet, is quite excited to do the role. According Apoorva, "Rani is the right choice for the role. She will do complete justice to the role. She can pull off the part with confidence and aplomb, which is why I have zeroed down on her. The only hurdle that Rani has to conquer whiles doing the role is that she will have to put some weight."

The Shaukeens Movie Review

But for the refreshingly self-deprecating humour that co-producer and cast member Akshay Kumar directs at himself and his acting career all through the film, The Shaukeens would have been an outright washout.

This film is a disaster all right, but it is mitigated somewhat by a quirky if uneven subplot that has Akshay playing himself and poking constant fun at the work that he has done thus far as a Bollywood actor.

As he shoots a regular flick in Mauritius, the star awaits the arrival of a director named Ranjit Basu (Subrat Dutta). 

This guy has numerous National Awards in his kitty and he has supposedly rustled up a role that could rescue Akshay from the Rs 100-crore rut.

Desperate to win a National Award of his own, Akshay gives the deadly boring director a long rope even as he spouts pretentious mumbo-jumbo about method acting and getting into the skin of a character.

Akshay does heed the man's sage advice, but not quite in the way that one would have imagined. 

Matters spiral out of control and not the least because of the repeated intrusions into the actor's make-up tent by a crazy female fan. 

But all this is only secondary to the main narrative, and it is here that the film comes completely unstuck. 

Written by Tigmanshu Dhulia and directed by Abhishek Sharma (Tere Bin Laden), this is an update of the 1982 Basu Chatterjee comedy, Shaukeen. It turns out to be an exercise that can only be described as ill-advised.

Shaukeen is the third early 1980s Hindi comedy (after Sai Paranjpye's Chashme Buddoor and Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Khubsoorat) to be remade in the span of a year. 

The returns have been meager and yet it is unlikely that Bollywood is going to give up any time soon. 

Devoid of the innocence and spontaneity that helped the three older comedies rise above their limitations and attain longevity, The Shaukeens shows why the classics should be left alone.

It isn't just Shaukeen that this film mercilessly cannibalizes. It also filches elements from 1971's Guddi and weaves into its messy mish-mash the story of a girl hopelessly infatuated with a movie star. 

The title of the film refers to three dirty rotten scoundrels who have sex, and only sex, on their minds. 

Their puerile attempts to satiate their lust do not yield much joy either for them or the audience. 

The Shaukeens lacks the sense of good-natured fun that underlined the original film, in which, thanks to the efforts Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt and AK Hangal, the lecherous old men came across as a largely harmless trio out to seek the thrill of illicit liaisons in the autumn of their lives. 

The triumvirate in The Shaukeens - three Delhi men who see girls only as objects - is unlikeable, and none of what they do in their own city or in Mauritius can be deemed to be acceptable behavior even for males half their age.
Frustrated with their lives, the three sexagenarian friends - Connaught Place shoe store owner Lali (Anupam Kher), social worker KD (Annu Kapoor) and Chawri Bazaar masala merchant Pinky (Piyush Mishra) - head out to Mauritius. 

They rent the bungalow of a pretty young thing, Ahana (Lisa Haydon), a fancy-free designer who recycles used material into ready-to-wear clothes and accessories.

Having broken up with her long-time boyfriend, she aborts a planned road trip and returns to her seaside home.

The three men cannot contain their excitement on seeing the girl in their midst and decide to hit the beach with her. 

The trouble with The Shaukeens is that both the characters and the film as a whole hit all the wrong buttons in a bid to generate mirth.

Akshay Kumar, who also doubles up as the narrator, is the only one in the cast who seems to have had a certain degree of genuine fun. The rest merely go through the motions.

The leading lady of The Shaukeens ditches her boyfriend because, in her words, "he made fun of my creation and called it stupid and obnoxious".

That is it: those are the very adjectives that would best describe this unfunny, eminently avoidable film.
